UWC Taiwan is a social welfare organisation instituted in accordance to the Civil Associations Act. It is not-for-profit, and all of its staff are volunteers.

Our founding principle is to foster Taiwanese students’ global perspective through intercultural learning and feedback, to let Taiwanese students see the world, and to let the world see Taiwan.

Our mission is as follows:

1. Annually select outstanding students from all socioeconomic classes, to represent Taiwan at various UWCs around the world, and to exchange knowledge and learn from students all around the world.
2. Deepen the world’s understanding of Taiwan
3. Broaden Taiwanese students’ global perspective.
4. Foster the development of action-orientated, change-leading Taiwanese youth leaders.
5. Gather funding and help disadvantaged Taiwanese students obtain educational opportunities.
6. Have UWC Taiwan members participate in educational and charitable events that give back to Taiwan
